GW-0742 Research Reference at Chemyo
This is the Chemyo research reference for GW-0742: what the compound is, its molecular identity, the formats in stock and the published batch testing. GW-0742 is supplied for research use only; nothing on this page is dosing, administration or clinical guidance.
What is GW-0742?
GW-0742 (also GW610742) is a potent and selective PPARδ agonist from GlaxoSmithKline, structurally close to GW-501516. It is widely used as a pharmacological tool to activate PPARδ in cell and animal experiments, and it shows high selectivity over the PPARα and PPARγ subtypes.
Published studies have used GW-0742 in models of metabolic disease, in pulmonary hypertension and right-heart failure in rodents, and in work on inflammation. It did not progress to approval. Because it shares a target with GW-501516, laboratories often compare the two compounds directly.

Quality control
Every batch is independently tested: FTIR for identity, HPLC for purity and, for solutions, a separate concentration assay. Reports are listed by batch number in the Chemyo lab reports library, and our quality control process explains each step. To check a certificate yourself, see how to read a SARM COA.
GW-0742 FAQ
How is GW-0742 related to GW-501516?
Both are selective PPARδ agonists developed by GlaxoSmithKline with closely related structures; they are often compared in the same studies.
Is GW-0742 a SARM?
No. It acts on PPARδ, a nuclear receptor involved in lipid metabolism, not on the androgen receptor.
What research uses GW-0742?
Rodent models of metabolism, pulmonary hypertension, right-heart function and inflammation.
Which GW-0742 format is available?
A 10 mg/ml solution in 50 ml with identity, purity and concentration data.
