What is LGD-4033?
LGD-4033, known as Ligandrol, is a non-steroidal SARM discovered by Ligand Pharmaceuticals. It binds the androgen receptor with high affinity and selectivity, and in pre-clinical models showed anabolic activity in muscle and bone with reduced effect on the prostate.
A phase 1 study published in 2013 examined LGD-4033 in healthy young men, and the compound was later licensed to Viking Therapeutics as VK5211, which was studied in a phase 2 trial in patients recovering from hip fracture. It has not been approved and is on the WADA prohibited list. Chemyo supplies it as a research solution and in two value packs.
