YK-11 Research Reference at Chemyo: Solution and Powder

This is the Chemyo research reference for YK-11: what the compound is, its molecular identity, the formats in stock and the published batch testing. YK-11 is supplied for research use only; nothing on this page is dosing, administration or clinical guidance.

What is YK-11?

YK-11 is a steroidal research compound first reported by Yuichiro Kanno and colleagues in 2011. It is built on a 5α-dihydrotestosterone backbone and was described as a partial agonist of the androgen receptor that does not trigger the full receptor conformational change seen with complete agonists.

Interest in YK-11 comes mainly from a 2013 cell-culture study in C2C12 myoblasts, which reported that it increased expression of follistatin, a natural inhibitor of myostatin. Because the evidence is almost entirely in vitro, and because its steroidal structure separates it from non-steroidal SARMs, YK-11 is best viewed as an early-stage research tool.

Where to buy YK-11 for research

Searches for YK 11 for sale turn up many listings with no batch data. At Chemyo every lot of YK-11 below has its identity, purity and, for solutions, concentration results published, so you can check the material before you order it.

Browse all SARM solutions, research powders and value packs.

Quality control

Every batch is independently tested: FTIR for identity, HPLC for purity and, for solutions, a separate concentration assay. Reports are listed by batch number in the Chemyo lab reports library, and our quality control process explains each step. To check a certificate yourself, see how to read a SARM COA.

YK-11 FAQ

Is YK-11 a SARM or a steroid?

Structurally it is a steroid derived from DHT, but it was described as a selective, partial androgen receptor agonist, which is why it is often filed with SARMs.

Is YK-11 a myostatin inhibitor?

Not directly. Cell studies reported that it raises follistatin, which in turn inhibits myostatin; that indirect effect is the basis of the label.

How much research exists on YK-11?

Very little: a handful of in vitro and animal studies and no human clinical trials.

Which YK-11 formats does Chemyo offer?

A 10 mg/ml solution in 50 ml, a 1 g powder and value packs with MK-677 or GW-501516.
