Noopept (Omberacetam) Research Reference at Chemyo
This is the Chemyo research reference for Noopept: what the compound is, its molecular identity, the formats in stock and the published batch testing. Noopept is supplied for research use only; nothing on this page is dosing, administration or clinical guidance.
What is Noopept?
Noopept (omberacetam; N-phenylacetyl-L-prolylglycine ethyl ester) was developed in Russia in the 1990s by researchers at the Zakusov Institute of Pharmacology. It is often grouped with the racetams, but chemically it is a dipeptide-derived molecule and it is far more potent by weight than piracetam in the original animal studies.
Noopept is a prodrug: it is metabolised to cycloprolylglycine, an endogenous cyclic dipeptide that has been studied for its effects on AMPA receptor signalling and neurotrophic factor expression. It is prescribed in Russia and some neighbouring countries but is not an approved medicine in the US, UK or EU.

Quality control
Every batch is independently tested: FTIR for identity, HPLC for purity and, for solutions, a separate concentration assay. Reports are listed by batch number in the Chemyo lab reports library, and our quality control process explains each step. To check a certificate yourself, see how to read a SARM COA.
Noopept FAQ
Is Noopept a racetam?
Not strictly. It is often listed with racetams because of similar research uses, but it is a dipeptide derivative rather than a pyrrolidone-based racetam.
What is Noopept’s active metabolite?
Cycloprolylglycine, an endogenous cyclic dipeptide.
Is Noopept approved?
It is a registered medicine in Russia but not approved in the US, UK or EU. Chemyo supplies it for research only.
Which Noopept formats are available?
A 20 mg/ml solution in 50 ml and a 10 g powder.
